Software Updates 2025.1

Software updates for visitor management, employee workflows and assignments have been made to the Transmission platform.


 We are proud to announce another round of incredible updates, new features and a redesigned interface!!

All features are live now and available in your admin portal.  

General

  • An "Optimal Resolution Notice" will appear if you are in the admin portal and your monitor screen resolution is at a setting that would restrict or limit your view of the platform.

  • Admins can now download the host/employee list, edit it and upload it to bulk edit employee/host data.

  • Add Notes and Attachments to Visitor and Employee Profiles. Visibility of notes and attachments is limited to admins on a user level basis.

Text Messaging

  • Send re-occurring text messages.  Choose a start/stop date (if applicable) and select how frequently they should repeat. (Great for reminders, work anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, etc.)

Resources

  • The Resources interface had a huge re-design that now allows you to view, add, and edit all settings and workflows on one screen.

  • Swap feature now appears on resources in the screen above and in workflows.  For example, if a video is being served to a visitor or employee in a workflow and the video needs replaced with an updated version, you can upload the new video, then use the swap feature to replace the old video with the new current video.

  • User Agreements and Acknowledgements have merged. For both visitors and employees, you to choose whether you want to collect a signature or simply an acknowledgement on the document.

Visitor & Employee CheckPoints (CheckPoint = Kiosk)

  • New (visitor or employee facing) home screen interface. Drop Off, Pre-Registration and Check-Out have emerged from the bottom bar. All options became buttons in the center of the screen. The QR Code for mobile access moved to upper right corner beside the language selector.

  • New CheckPoint interface allows you to view and edit all settings, the theme (background image, logo, text, welcome message, screensaver, etc), add or edit groups available, Visitor Types or Workflows available on that checkpoint, view (interact with that kiosk from your desk), generate a QR code that links to Checkpoint, set it as active or inactive, URL link to the Checkpoint, copy and delete.

WORKFLOW BUILDER: Used to build Visitor Types and Employee Workflows 

  • The Visitor Types and Employee Workflows interface now allows you to re-order the visitor or workflows, add them to new checkpoints, set up additional notifications, generate a QR code that accesses the workflow/visitor type, toggle active or inactive, copy the link to access the workflow/visitor type, copy or delete it.

  • The Visitor Types and Employee Workflows interface had a radical re-design that now surfaces all common settings, allowing you to view, edit and assign the workflow all on one screen. If you create a new visitor type, the most common default settings are selected so you don't have to start from scratch.  visitor type update

  • Swap feature is now available for hosts.  If a visitor checks in and selects the wrong host, an admin can swap the host on the "Current Visitors" dashboard.  The old host will be told to disregard the first notification and the new host will be notified that their visitor has arrived.

Visitor Pre-Registration 

  • Download the bulk upload template, fill it out and upload it to pre-register large groups of visitors easily.
  • Send pre-registration emails to visitors, even on behalf of other hosts, directly from the admin portal.

  • While the email is pre-built with common settings, you can edit the email and create templates.
  • Hosts receive a copy of the email with a list of all invited visitors. 
  • If you enter the date and time of the visit when you create the pre-registration, and your visitor has not completed it 24 hours prior to their visit, the system will automatically remind your visitor to complete it.

Employee Workflows

  • Employee Login (accessible via kiosks, links and QR Codes) allows employees to edit their personal data, see all assignments, access external websites and portals, etc.

  • Workflow Resume. If an employee assignment workflow is abandoned, the user can pick up where they left off on the next visit.

  • Add reminders to assignments.  If they become past due, the kiosk will automatically send reminders on an interval you choose. 
  • Assign workflows to entire groups, then choose whether everyone in the group needs to complete the task or if any one member just needs to complete it. (For example: A new employee completes their new hire orientation. The kiosk generates an assignment for someone in the IT Department to create an access badge for that new employee. It just needs done once and anyone can do it.)

Think about the workflow your visitor takes when they sign in. Signing forms, watching videos, taking quizzes/surveys, then the kiosk sends notifications, logs records, etc.  Now imagine being able to serve employees information the same way, assign tasks, store all documents/links/resources/etc in one place.  New hire orientation, submitting internal documents and forms, taking training and so much more can be executed through a workflow.
